Please read below.  Everyone that completed the Step It Up program can go to the BCBS website below and record this activity under Walking Works to redeem points toward gift cards.

Effective July 1, 2010, Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) enhanced their "A Healthier You"  wellness program with "Points to Blue", which awards BCBS members point values for various wellness activities.  Point Values can then be redeemed for gift cards from more than 350 merchants.  You can also redeem your points for debit cards that can be used anywhere.  Or you can choose to donate your points as a cash amount to more than 1,000 charitable organizations.

Eligible wellness activities include, but are not limited to:  participating in annual health screenings (10,000 points), getting a flu shot (1,000 points), completing the online Health Risk Assessment (10,000 points), attending an onsite class or a webinar on various health topics (points vary), Weight Watchers (points vary), and exercising regularly (points vary).    For a more detailed list of activities, please see the below attachment.

You can start redeeming points for gift cards once you've earned 25,000 points, which is equal to $25!!!!  The maximum amount of points you can earn in one year is 250,000 or $250.

Participation is easy; you may have already accumulated points.  Be sure to check out your Points to Blue balance today by:

1.  Logging onto www.BlueKC.com
2.  Log in using your BCBS username OR register as a new user
3.  Click on "Points to Blue Rewards" located on the bottom left side of the website
